On 25 June 2021, the PRA issued ‘Consultation Paper 13/21: Occasional Consultation Paper – June 2021’ (CP13/21).

In CP13/21 the PRA sets out proposals to make minor amendments to PRA rules, supervisory statements, reporting data items and instructions, the Branch Return and associated guidance and notes. In particular:

On 24 June 2021, the European Commission extended by an additional year the current transitional regime regarding the capital requirements that EU banks and investment firms must maintain when exposed to non-EU central counterparties. The transitional regime will now continue to apply until 28 June 2022.

On 23 June 2021, the European Banking Authority (EBA) issued a consultation proposing amending implementing technical standards (ITS) on supervisory reporting with regards to COREP and asset encumbrance reporting as well as the reporting for the purposes of identifying global systemically important institutions (G-SIIs).

The ITS have been developed

On 24 June 2021, there was published in the Official Journal of the EU Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1018 of 22 June 2021 amending the implementing technical standards laid down in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/7637 as regards the disclosure of indicators of global systemic importance, and repealing Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1030/2014.
