On 21 May 2025, the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (Basel Committee) issued a statement following its meeting on 20 and 21 May 2025.
The Basel Committee continues to prioritise the full and consistent implementation of Basel III. It will also publish by the end of this year a final version of its supervisory principles for the sound management of third-party risk in the banking sector. A voluntary disclosure framework for climate-related financial risks will be published in June.
