On 7 May 2026, the European Banking Authority (EBA) issued a consultation paper setting out draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/598 supplementing the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) with regard to RTS for assigning risk weights to specialised lending exposures. The purpose of the amendments is to update the RTS in light of the changes introduced by the CRR 3 and to enhance the risk sensitivity, clarity and usability of the framework.
