On 22 November 2021, the European Payments Council (EPC) published the following:
- Guidance on Reason Codes: For SDD R-transactions. The EPC has released version 6.0 of the document ‘Guidance on Reason Codes for R-transactions’ in November 2021. This applies to the two current applicable 2021 Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) Direct Debit rulebooks.
- Guidance on Reason Codes: For SCT R-transactions. The EPC has released version 3.0 of the document ‘Guidance on Reason Codes: For SCT R-transactions’. It applies to the current applicable 2021 SEPA Credit Transfer rulebook.
- Clarification Paper on SDD Core and SDD B2B rulebooks. The EPC has published version 2.0 of the dedicated clarification paper on the SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) Core and SDD Business-to-Business rulebooks.
- Guidance on reason codes for SEPA Instant Credit Transfer R-transactions. The EPC has released version 3.0 of the document ‘Guidance on reason codes for SEPA Instant Credit Transfer R-transactions. It applies to the current applicable 2021 SEPA Instant Credit Transfer rulebook.
- Creditor Identifier Overview. The objective of this document is to provide basic information on Creditor Identifier (CI) characteristics per SEPA country to allow Creditor Payment Service Providers to check the validity of their CI.
- Guidelines for the appearance of mandates in the SEPA Direct Debit schemes. This document contains guidance on the visual presentation of mandates issued by creditors under the SDD Core and the SDD Business-to-Business schemes as part of their offer to debtors to use the SDD schemes as a way for making payments.
