On 30 June 2026, the Digital Regulation Co-operation Forum (DRCF) published a call for input in relation to consumer interest and artificial intelligence (AI). In particular, the DRCF is inviting views on:

  1. Consumer attitudes:  What risks consumers feel they may be exposed to, and to what extent they are, and are not, prepared to tolerate risks in exchange for benefits of AI adoption.
  1. Consumers, regulators, policymakers & industry tools: What are the tools and frameworks available to policy makers, regulators, industry and consumers to manage risks effectively so that, if possible, risk levels are tolerable to consumers without undue restriction on AI opportunities and growth.

The DRCF has asked for feedback on question 1 by 3 July 2026 and on question 2 by 2 September 2026.
