On 29 May 2026, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published its sixth annual report on the quality and use of regulatory data.

Compared to previous annual reports, this annual report has further expanded the scope of the datasets covered to include prospectus reporting, credit rating agency reporting, central counterparty supervisory reporting, crowdfunding reporting, Digital Operational Resilience Act major ICT-related incident reporting, reference data under the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation and the ESMA registers. The report generally shows that improvements in data quality and data use reinforce each other in a virtuous cycle, supporting more effective supervision and market monitoring across the EU.

The ESMA will host on 18 June 2026 a webinar to present the main findings of the report.
