On 26 February 2026, there was made The Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 (Commencement No. 13) Regulations 2026.

These Regulations are the 13th commencement regulations made under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023.

The Regulations provide for the following:

  • Section 1(1) revokes the legislation listed in Schedule 1, which includes Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 June 2013 on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms and amending Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 (the Capital Requirements Regulation or CRR).
  • Regulation 2 brings into force, on 1 January 2027, the revocation of Articles 4, 4A, 4B and 5 of the CRR. These Articles provide for definitions of terms used in the CRR.
