A recent Norton Rose Fulbright legal update on proposed regulations issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may be of interest to readers of the Financial services: Regulation Tomorrow blog.
“SEC proposes Regulation S-K amendments to implement FAST Act mandate,” by Charles E. Hord III, discusses proposed amendments to Regulation S-K (“Standard Instructions For Filing Forms under Securities Act Of 1933, Securities Exchange Act Of 1934 And Energy Policy And Conservation Act Of 1975”) that would modernize and simplify certain disclosure requirements in the regulation and related rules and forms, as well as implement Section 72003 of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (“Fast Act”) and “largely implement” recommendations made by the SEC staff in a report to Congress on November 23, 2016, mandated by the FAST Act.
The SEC also proposed parallel amendments to several rules and forms applicable to investment companies and investment advisors to provide for consistent rules governing incorporation by reference and hyperlinking.
