On 12 May 2016, the Dutch State Secretary for Finance sent a letter to the Dutch Parliament containing an overview of what legislative proposals can be expected to be submitted to the Dutch Parliament in 2016 or early 2017.

Amongst other things, the overview provides that :

• the Act implementing the Market in Financial Instruments (recast) (MiFID II) is to be expected in Q2 or Q3 of 2016;
• the Act on the Supervision of Trust Offices 2018 (Wet toezicht trustkantoren 2018) is to be expected in Q3 or Q4 of 2016; and
• the Act implementing the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) is to be expected in Q1 of 2017.
