On 15 February 2024, the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (Autoriteit Financiële Markten, the AFM) has confirmed that market participants will be able to submit an application for a CASP licence or notification to the AFM as of 22 April 2024. If approved, the licences or notifications will take effect from 30 December 2024.

In addition, the AFM has updated its MiCA authorisation website, which now includes the application and notification forms as well as a checklist for the CASP licence application and notification.

Furthermore, in consultation with the Dutch Central Bank (Nederlandsche Bank, DNB), the AFM invites market participants to submit an application for a CASP licence or notification as of the end of 22 April 2024. From that date, it will no longer be necessary to submit an AMLD5-registration to DNB.
