Brexit will likely have an impact on the regulatory and business environment of asset management companies and investment funds located in the UK, in particular in relation to cross-border business.

The objective of the workshop, primarily for UK firms considering relocating to Germany, is to inform them about BaFin’s (Bundesanstalt für FinanzdienstleistungsaufsichtBaFin) administration and supervisory practice in relation to the asset management sector. The workshop will, for example, address the following topics: BaFin’s licensing procedure for asset management companies, delegation issues and marketing notifications from third-countries. The finalised agenda will be published on BaFin’s web site one week prior to the workshop at the latest.

The workshop will take place at BaFin in Frankfurt

Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht
Marie-Curie-Str. 24-28
60439 Frankfurt am Main

from 10 am to 2 pm.

All interested parties may apply; however, preference will be given to those foreign firms directly concerned with Brexit issues.

Registration will be accepted via email BrexitWorkshopWA4@bafin.de by 7 June 2017 and will be confirmed or declined via email shortly after that date.
