  • 9 September 2024 – On 16 July 2024, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) issued consultation reports on proposed recommendations intended to promote greater alignment in data frameworks related to cross-border payments and consistency in the regulation and supervision of bank and non-bank payment service providers. The deadline for comments on both consultation reports is 9 September 2024.

EU

  • 9 September 2024 – On 9 July 2024, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) issued three consultation papers on the CSDR REFIT. The deadline for comments on each consultation paper is 9 September 2024.
  • 10 September 2024 – On 8 January 2024, the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) issued a consultation paper on draft implementing technical standards regarding the tasks of the collection bodies and the functionalities of the European Single Access Point (ESAP). The draft ITS are intended to enable future users to effectively harness the information on the ESAP. The ESAs will consider the feedback received to the consultation and will submit the draft ITS to the European Commission by 10 September 2024.
  • 15 September 2024 – On 10 July 2024, the ESMA published its third consultation paper on the future technical standards and technical advice on revised MiFIR and MiFID II. The deadline for comments on sections 3, 4, 8 and 9 of the consultation paper is 15 September 2024.

UK

  • 12 September 2024 – On 29 August 2024, the Bank of England announced that the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) would publish its second and last set of near-final Basel 3.1 rules on 12 September 2024. The PRA will also publish a consultation paper covering the capital-related aspects of its Strong and Simple regime for smaller firms on the same date.
  • 13 September 2024 – On 15 July 2024, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Payment Systems Regulator published a call for information on the benefits and risks that digital wallets bring to people and businesses. The deadline for responses to the call for information is 13 September 2024.
  • 13 September 2024 – On 13 August 2024, the FCA published a new web page concerning a bond consolidated tape (CTP). The FCA asks those parties who are interested in taking part in the tender process for appointing the bond CTP to contact it by 13 September 2024.
