Articles 180(3)(a), 181(3)(b) and 182(4)(b) of the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) empower the European Commission (Commission) to adopt delegated acts specifying conditions according to which Member State national competent authorities may permit institutions to use relevant data covering a shorter time period.
The Commission has now adopted a Delegated Regulation supplementing the CRR with regard to regulatory technical standards specifying conditions for data waiver permissions. The next step will be for the Council of the EU and the European Parliament to consider the Delegated Regulation and if neither of them objects, it will enter into force 20 days after its publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
