On 15 December 2025, the European Parliament published:
- A draft report on the proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) on prudential requirements for credit institutions as regards requirements for securitisation exposures.
- A draft report on the proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EU) 2017/2402 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2017 laying down a general framework for securitisation and creating a specific framework for simple, transparent and standardised securitisation.
On the same date the Council of the EU published:
- A compromise proposal on the European Commission’s legislative proposal for a Regulation amending the CRR as regards requirements for securitisation exposures.
- A compromise proposal on the Commission’s proposed Regulation amending Regulation (EU) 2017/2402 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2017 laying down a general framework for securitisation and creating a specific framework for simple, transparent and standardised securitisation.
- An “I” item note inviting the Permanent Representatives Committee (COREPER) to adopt the proposed texts as its negotiating mandate ahead of trialogue negotiations with the European Parliament.
