On 6 March 2024, there was published in the Official Journal of the EU (OJ) Commission Delegation Regulation 2024/818 of 28 November 2023 amending the regulatory technical standards laid down in Delegated Regulation (EU) No 153/2013 as regards the extension of temporary emergency measures on central counterparty collateral requirements. Commission Delegation Regulation 2024/818 enters into force on the day following its publication in the OJ. It amends Article 39 of Delegated Regulation (EU) No 153/2013 to extend the duration during which the use of public guarantees as specified in Annex I is temporarily allowed. Article 62 of Delegated Regulation (EU) No 153/2013 is also amended to extend the duration during which the use of uncollateralised or partially collateralised bank guarantees is temporarily allowed. These modifications are temporary and will continue until 7 September 2024.
