The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published an updated template and instructions for participating banks to use in connection with its data collection exercise on credit valuation adjustment (CVA), which was launched on 30 April 2014. The purpose behind it is to inform international discussions on CVA risk.

Section 2.6 of the instructions sets out the EBA’s detailed timeline for this work. Participating banks are expected to submit their completed templates to their national supervisory authorities by 31 July 2014, and national supervisory authorities are required to submit the completed templates to the EBA by 1 August 2014. The EBA then intends to submit its CVA report to the Commission in December 2014.
