On 13 September 2022, UK Finance published FAQs regarding banking services during the period of national mourning and the bank holiday on 19 September.

The FAQs provide that all banking services will be operating as normal during the period of national mourning with the exception of the bank holiday on Monday 19 September. The bank holiday on 19 September will operate in the same way as other bank holidays, as such bank and building society branches will be closed and salary payments, direct debits and standing orders will not be processed on the day and instead will be processed on Tuesday 20 September.
