The Council of the EU has announced that political agreement in trialogue has been reached on the proposed Directive on criminal sanctions for insider dealing and market manipulation (CSMAD). The press release also states that this agreement will enable the CSMAD and the proposed Regulation on insider dealing and market manipulation (MAR), to be adopted at first reading.
