The European Commission (the Commission) has published the final draft text of a Delegated Regulation supplementing the Transparency Directive with regard to regulatory technical standards on access to regulated information at EU level, together with an annex.

The proposed European Electronic Access Point (EEAP) system will allow easier cross-border access to regulated information, lower the search time and, potentially, reduce the information access costs. As such, investors will obtain faster results for the information searched because they will no longer have to search through 28 different Officially Appointed Mechanisms but only go to a single entry point.

The Delegated Regulation will enter into force 20 days after its publication in the Official Journal of the EU. However, Articles 7 and 9 will apply from 1 January 2017.
