There has been published on the legislation.gov.uk website the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Market Abuse) Regulations 2016 (the Regulations) together with an explanatory memorandum. The Regulations come into force on 3 July 2016 and will amend the UK law to ensure that it is compatible with the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR). The Regulations also make changes to UK law to give effect to those parts of the MAR which require implementing legislation by the member states and to ensure that MAR is fully effective and enforceable in the UK.
