The PRA has published Policy Statement 18/17: IFRS 9: Changes to reporting requirements (PS18/17). PS18/17 is relevant to UK banks and building societies.

In PS18/17 the PRA provides feedback to responses to Consultation Paper 46/16: IFRS 9: Changes to reporting requirements (CP46/16). It also sets out final rules intended to update the regulatory reporting requirements, and expectations, in light of the introduction of International Financial Reporting Standard 9 (IFRS 9) from 1 January 2018.  The final amendments to the Regulatory Reporting Part of the PRA Rulebook are set out in Appendix 1 of PS18/17 and final amendments to Supervisory Statement 3415: Guidelines for completing regulatory reports are set out in Appendix 2 of PS18/17.

In chapter 6 of Consultation Paper 2/17: Occasional Consultation Paper, the PRA proposed to apply the reporting requirements set out in CP46/16 to ring fenced banks on a sub-consolidated basis. The PRA’s feedback to the responses to this will be provided in a separate Policy Statement in Q3 2017.
