The Association for Financial Markets in Europe, the Futures Industry Association, the International Capital Market Association, the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. and the International Securities Lending Association have jointly published a statement that is intended to help market participants comply with the requirements under the Securities Financing Transaction Regulation (SFTR).
The SFTR’s rules come into force on 13 July 2016. The joint statement is intended to inform market participants of the general risks and consequences that may be involved in consenting to a right of use of collateral provided under security collateral arrangements or of concluding a title transfer collateral arrangement.
