On 24 March 2023, the Bank of England and the FCA issued a communication on their joint programme to transform data collection from the UK financial sector. The communication provides an update on the programme including:

  • Details about a Town Hall event taking place on Wednesday 29 March.
  • An update on the progress of the programme and the phase two use cases. The phase two use cases are commercial real estate data, strategic review of prudential data collection from solo regulated firms, retail banking business model data, and incident, outsourcing and third-party reporting.
  • An update on the progress of the solution development for the phase one recommendations.

The Town Hall event will have two parts. The first part will be a hybrid event where attendees can attend in person and online. During this part the regulators’ senior leadership team will provide an update on the progress of the programme and future plans for transforming data collection. The second part will be an in person event only and will be a showcase and networking session.
