The session provides an update on some of the key aspects of the Edinburgh Reforms, first announced in December 2022, as well as measures introduced under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 which received Royal Assent in June 2023. Topics discussed include the new Designated Activities Regime, reforms to the prospectus regime, the Investment Research Review, proposed reforms to ring-fencing and the revocation of retained EU financial services law, as well as brief updates on diversity and inclusion, cryptoassets and financial promotions developments.
