The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has published:

  • a summary guide for companies on the register of people with significant control. The guide provides a brief introduction for companies to their obligations to record details of their beneficial ownership. The regime is known as the register of people with significant control (PSC register). The guide sets out how the requirements apply to some simple company structures, for illustrative purposes only;
  • draft statutory guidance on the meaning of “significant influence or control” over companies in the context of the PSC register;
  • draft statutory guidance on the meaning of “significant influence or control” over limited liability partnerships in the context of the PSC register;
  • draft statutory guidance on the meaning of “significant influence or control” over eligible Scottish partnerships in the context of the PSC register;
  • draft statutory guidance on the meaning of “significant influence or control” over eligible Scottish partnerships in the context of the PSC register;
  • guidance on the PSC register for registered and unregistered companies, societies europaeae, limited liability partnerships, and eligible Scottish partnerships;
  • guidance on the PSC register for people with significant control over companies, societates europaeae, limited liability partnerships and eligible Scottish partnerships.
