The European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) has published a press release announcing that it has reached political agreement with the Council of the EU (in its configuration as the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN)) on the proposed Regulation concerning the single resolution mechanism (the SRM Regulation).
The Greek Presidency expressed its hope that agreement on the SRM Regulation would be reached before the end of this Parliamentary session (by May 2014). The SRM Regulation is currently timetabled for a vote by the European Parliament in plenary session during 14 to 17 April 2014.
