The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has published the latest issue of its newsletter, Ombudsman news. In this issue the FOS sets out a number of case studies concerning customers in vulnerable circumstances. It also includes an article on the FOS outreach team which meets with people working at the front line of their communities’ problems and complaints – from national charities and local voluntary organisations, to trading standards, MPs and community leaders. The Q&A section at the end of the newsletter includes a brief discussion to the question that the new alternative dispute resolution regulations do not apply to trusts and charities so can the FOS help with their complaints anymore?
