The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has announced that it has published on its website the translations of its guidelines and recommendations regarding the implementation of the CPSS-IOSCO Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures in respect of Central Counterparties.

The guidelines and recommendations will apply from 4 November 2014.

Member State competent authorities now have two months to comply or explain non-compliance with the guidelines and recommendations and notify ESMA of their intention as to which.
