Financial services: Regulation tomorrow - Norton Rose Fulbright

On July 8, 2015, clients and contacts attended the financial services team’s latest MiFID II Academy / Eighth Annual Markets Infrastructure Group Seminar.

This half-day seminar looked at the markets aspect of MiFID II and MiFIR, examining some of the key issues the regulatory changes will have on the way we trade. In the first part of our seminar we looked at the trading environment of the future and answered some of the key questions including what trading models will be available for both equities and other financial instruments? We then offered a choice of two-break-out sessions, one on the US regime and how it deals with equivalent subjects and thus what we should bear in mind when working on projects that cross the Atlantic and another exploring the new regulatory regime for electronic trading. There was then a session on how the post-trade world will look.

Our online technical resource, Pegasus, has been updated to contain the materials from this seminar.
