On 14 October 2020, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) published a report providing an update on its ongoing work concerning market fragmentation. The report describes progress in the four areas identified in the June 2019 FSB Report on Market Fragmentation: (i) deference; (ii) pre-positioning of capital and liquidity; (iii) regulatory and supervisory coordination and information-sharing; and (iv) market fragmentation as part of the evaluation of reforms, starting with the too big to fail evaluation. A final evaluation report will be published in early 2021.
