There has been published on the European Commission’s website a Delegated Regulation (together with an annex) relating to the Market Abuse Regulation. The Delegated Regulation shall apply from 3 July 2016 and covers the following topics:

  • exemption for certain public bodies and central banks of third countries;
  • indicators of market manipulation;
  • minimum thresholds for the exemption of certain participants in the emission allowance market from the requirement to publicly disclose inside information;
  • determination of the competent authority for the notifications of delays in public disclosure of inside information;
  • trading during closed period; and
  • types of notifiable managers’ transactions.
