The following Commencement Orders to the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 have been published:

  • the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 (Commencement No.2) Order 2014; and
  • the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 (Commencement No.3) Order 2014.

The first Order provides for the appointed day for the coming into force of sections 139 (power to impose penalties on persons providing claims management services) and 140(1) to (3) (recovery of expenditure incurred by the Office for Legal Complaints). This day is 21 March 2014.

The second Order provides for the appointed day for the coming into force of section 140(4) to (6) (recovery of expenditure incurred by the Office for Legal Complaints). This day is also 21 March 2014.
