  • 3 July 2024 – On 4 April 2024, the International Organisation for Securities Commissions (IOSCO) published a Consultation Report titled Evolution in the Operation, Governance and Business Models of Exchanges: Regulatory Implications and Good Practices. The deadline for comments is 3 July 2024.


  • 30 June 2024 – Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on Markets in Crypto-assets (MiCAR) was published in the Official Journal of the EU on 9 June 2023. MiCAR will become applicable for issuers of asset reference tokens and issuers of e-money tokens on 30 June 2024.
  • 4 July 2024 – On 6 June 2024, the European Banking Authority issued a consultation on three sets of draft Regulatory Technical Standards in accordance with the mandates provided to it under Articles 317(9) and 316(3) of the Capital Requirements Regulation and 321(2) of the Capital Requirements Regulation 3. ​A public hearing will take place in the form of a webinar on 4 July 2024, 15:30 – 17:00 CET.


  • 1 July 2024 – On 30 April 2024, the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group published for consultation its proposed amendments to Sector 18 (Wholesale markets) in Part II of its Guidance. The deadline for comments on the proposed revisions is 1 July 2024.
  • 4 July 2024 – On 23 May 2024, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) published a consultation paper setting out proposed changes to its fee structure, following the introduction of legislation in Parliament. The Government has begun the process of exercising powers given under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 to allow the FOS to update its current fee-charging framework. This will allow the FOS to charge claims management companies and other relevant professional representatives to lodge a case.  The consultation closes on 4 July 2024.
