On 17 November 2025, the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG) published a consultation on amendments to several paragraphs in its guidance.

In particular, the proposed revisions would be to Chapter 3 – in relation to the standing of the money laundering reporting officer and monitoring effectiveness of money laundering controls – and Chapter 6 – in relation to data protection, specifically when there is has been subject access request where a suspicious activity report has been made.  

The JMLSG have asked for feedback by 14 January 2026.
