ICE Benchmark Administration (IBA) became the administrator for ICE LIBOR (LIBOR) (formerly known as BBA LIBOR) on 1 February 2014 and the administrator for ISDAFIX on 1 August 2014.
The IBA has now published a position paper which sets out its findings since becoming the administrator of LIBOR, its proposed enhancements following the Financial Stability Board’s publication on Reforming Major Interest Rate Benchmarks and an invitation for views on the proposals from all stakeholders in LIBOR. The IBA also includes separately an overview of its approach to benchmark administration and a brief summary of the FCA’s regulatory requirements for benchmarks.
The deadline for comments on the position paper is 19 December 2014.
