The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) has published guidance on systemic risk management plans (SRMPs). All global systemically important insurers (G-SIIs) are required to produce SRMPs. The purpose the document is to provide guidance to group-wide supervisors on how G-SIIs should develop their SRMPs. In light of this, the guidance explains:
- what elements must be included in a SRMP;
- the process for updating a SRMP; and
- a timetable for implementation.
