On 7 May 2021, the Financial Services Regulatory Initiatives Forum (Forum) published the third edition of the regulatory initiatives grid.

The grid sets out at a high level future initiatives from the Forum so that the financial services industry can plan for initiatives that may have a significant operational impact on them. The Forum comprises of the Bank of England, FCA, PRA, Payment Systems Regulator, the Competition and Markets Authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Pensions Regulator and the Financial Reporting Council. HM Treasury is an observer member.

Upcoming work in the latest iteration of the grid includes 8 new environmental, social and governance initiatives, the Bank of England and FCA’s work to transform data collection, HM Treasury’s Future Regulatory Framework Review and the Pensions Regulator’s work to introduce a single code of practice to make their expectations simpler and easier to understand.

The Forum has also published the grid in the form of an interactive dashboard and an Excel spreadsheet to help users interact with the underlying data.
