HM Treasury has published a press release on a meeting between Philip Hammond, Chancellor of the Exchequer, and members of the European Financial Services Chairmen’s Advisory Committee. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues relating to the financial services industry in preparation of negotiations between the UK and the EU following the UK referendum decision to leave the EU. The Chancellor will hold a series of bilateral and group discussions with domestic and international firms ahead of chairing a further roundtable with representatives from financial services firms in October.
