The Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG) has published a letter addressed to it from HM Treasury in which HM Treasury confirms that it has approved, with immediate effect, the latest version of the JMLSG’s guidance for consumer credit providers for the purposes of sections 330 and 331 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, section 21A of the Terrorism Act 2000, and Regulations 42 and 45 of the Money Laundering Regulations 2007.

An accompanying JMLSG press release states that in the final approval process minor changes were made to the wording of paragraphs 4 and 10 of the guidance. It also links to the text of the final, approved guidance.
