On 28 May 2021, the FCA published Handbook Notice No 88.

In this Handbook Notice the FCA summarises the Individual Accountability (Miscellaneous Amendments) Instrument 2021 which the FCA Board approved on 27 May 2021. This instrument makes changes to the FCA Handbook to reflect the FCA’s expectations for firms to notify the regulator of when an Approved Person at an Appointed Representative firm or a Senior Manager takes temporary  leave for longer than 12 weeks. These changes include adding an additional field to Form D (changes to personal information / application details and conduct breaches / disciplinary action related to conduct) to enable firms to notify the FCA that the relevant individual is taking leave or returning from that leave. The instrument comes into force on 2 June 2021.
