The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published a table which sets out those competent authorities that have informed it that they comply or intend to comply with the ESMA guidelines on the model memorandum of understanding concerning consultation, cooperation and the exchange of information related to the supervision of Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) entities.
The table indicates that all Member States have complied or intend to comply with the guidelines except for Slovenia. As a consequence of the late transposition of the AIFMD in Slovenia, no competent authority has yet been designated under article 44 of the AIFMD. In addition, Gibraltar (a European territory for whose external relations the UK is responsible) has provided no response.
