The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has published a report that provides an update on the main developments regarding the implementation of the G20/OECD high-level Principles of Corporate Governance (Principles). Among other things the report notes that in December 2015 the Financial Stability Board’s Standing Committee on Standards Implementation agreed to launch a peer review on the implementation of the relevant Principles and a final report is expected in early 2017. Also, in its November 2016 meeting the OECD’s Corporate Governance Committee will discuss and decide on topics for the next peer review that is expected to take place during the first half of 2017. Previous peer reviews have included risk management and corporate governance (2014) and board member and election (2013).
