On 5 February 2026, the Financial Ombudsman Services (FOSpublished its quarterly complaints data from October to December 2025.

Key findings from the data include:

  • Overall, the FOS received 47,300 new complaints during this period, which is higher than the 46,300 new complaints it received in the previous quarter reported.
  • However, this is lower than the 68,400 complaints in same period reported last year.  
  • Across all financial products, the FOS upheld 27% of the cases we resolved this quarter in favour of the consumer.

Current accounts were the most complained about product in the relevant quarter.
