The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Consumer Credit) (Transitional Provisions) (No. 2) Order 2014 has been published.

The Order makes transitional provisions relating to the transfer of consumer credit regulation from the OFT to the FCA and amends the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2013. It preserves the effect of the exemption in Part 20 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 from the need for authorisation for members of professional bodies who carry on regulated activity, incidental to the provision of professional services, where a member firm has an interim permission to carry on consumer credit-related activities.

The Order comes into force 1 April 2014.
