On 4 September 2024, theFinancialRegulators Complaints Commissioner published an  update on complaints relating to the British Steel Pension Scheme (BSPS).  

In the update, the Commissioner notes that during August 2024, it received further documents from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to support its review of the FCA’s investigation files on the BSPS complaints. The Commissioner is reviewing those documents alongside the FCA’s investigation files and is carefully considering them as part of its ongoing investigation into the BSPS complaints.

The update also confirms that the Office of the Complaints Commissioner is considering all of the information and points raised by the individual complainants and working to issue its report encompassing all the relevant information. It intends to issue a report as quickly as possible whilst ensuring a thorough and careful investigation is completed.
