On 27 July 2023, the FCA updated its webpage on Securitisation in relation to an upcoming consultation.
The webpage has been updated to include the following text:
‘On 7 August 2023, we’ll publish a consultation paper (CP) setting out our proposed rules to replace the firm-facing provisions from the UK Securitisation Regulation (UK SR) which are being transferred into our Handbook. This CP should be read alongside the Treasury’s near-final draft of a Statutory Instrument, which will keep part of the UK SR in new legislation. Supervisory responsibility for the UK SR is currently shared primarily between us and the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA). The PRA has published its own CP on proposed rules to replace firm-facing requirements in the UK SR, which it has supervisory responsibility for’.
