On 15 October 2025, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) updated its webpage which sets out the consultation proposals for its motor finance consumer redress scheme CP25/27.
The update includes frequently asked questions (FAQs) relating to the consultation, which the FCA has set out will be updated regularly as engagement with stakeholders continues. This includes FAQs related to the role of the Financial Ombudsman Service and its associated case fees, firms’ communications to consumers and professional representatives, firms’ liability in relation to 0% APR deals and application to deceased consumers.
