On 26 April 2018, the FCA published a speech given by its chief executive, Andrew Bailey. The speech is entitled Asset management: a regulatory perspective. In his speech Mr Bailey discusses some of the challenges for the FCA and the asset management market. He also discusses some of the regulatory developments in the sector.

When discussing Brexit and delegation Mr Bailey states: “the truth is that delegation is a well-established global norm, underpinned by strong standards and regulatory cooperation. It is not dependent on EU membership. There is no reason to disrupt a system that clearly works effectively.”
