The FCA has published Consultation Paper 14/27: Quarterly Consultation no.7 (CP14/27).

In CP14/27 the FCA invites comments on various miscellaneous amendments to its Handbook. The proposed amendments relate to:

  • compliance report requirements for occupational pension schemes. The FCA intends to amend chapter 16 of the Supervision manual (SUP) to remove the requirement for occupational pensions scheme firms to submit compliance reports under SUP 16.6.6R. The FCA believes this requirement is no longer necessary as the information in these reports can be accessed from alternative sources;
  • minor amendments to the Prospectus Rules (PRs). The FCA intends to make small changes to the PRs in order to implement certain administrative requirements on final terms in the Prospectus Directive. The FCA also proposes to make one minor change to a rule on publishing prospectuses;
  • the Building Societies Regulatory Guide. The FCA intends to revoke this Guide with effect from 18 March 2015; and
  • the Training and Competence sourcebook (TC). The FCA intends to amend the TC by adding two new qualifications to the appropriate qualifications list, amending the details of six existing qualifications and adding one new provider.

The deadline for responses to CP14/27 is 5 February 2015.
