The FCA has published Handbook Notice 16.

This Handbook Notice introduces the FCA Handbook and other material made by the FCA board under its legislative powers on 6 November 2014.

On 6 November 2014, the FCA board made changes to the Handbook in three instruments, two of which are noted in Handbook Notice 16:

  • Supervision Manual (Remuneration Reporting No 2) Instrument 2014. This instrument sets out changes to ensure that the FCA’s rules in SYSC 19a and SUP 16 are consistent with the European Banking Authority’s revised guidelines on remuneration data collection. The instrument comes into force on 7 November 2014; and
  • Disclosure and Transparency Rules (Interim Management Statements) (Amendment) Instrument 2014. This instrument makes changes to the Glossary of definitions, Listing Rule 17 and Disclosure rules and Transparency rules (DTRs) 4, 6, 8 and transitional provision 1. These changes mean that issuers of shares admitted to trading on a regulated market, where the UK acts as the home Member State and the DTRs apply, will no longer be required to publish interim management statements. The instrument comes into force on 7 November 2014.

The FCA states that a further instrument made by the FCA board will be published at a later date and summarised in the next Handbook Notice.
